Well, I have bought one EeePC701 only several days after it first
faced the market last year.
I found it did a good job in surfing the web, skype talking, and so on.
Even I installed a developer's package (build-essential) on it and
sometimes wrote programs on it.

As far as I can say, 701 is fit enough to my usage.
